I know the franchise owner who had the last one. Apparently CFA does not want their franchise owners to have more than 3 restaurants. With the new one opening on Kingston Pike, that put the guy at 4, so he chose to close the First Tennessee location.

Seems that way, but it could depend on capital and if he owns any other franchise units that could be considered competition.

CFA tried to run it as a corporate location, but when the new location opened, the management and most of the employees went there. Translation: well-oiled machine replaced with completely new employees.
