It's just not the same. That place made a killing, why shut it down and re-open with a smaller selection?
I know the franchise owner who had the last one. Apparently CFA does not want their franchise owners to have more than 3 restaurants. With the new one opening on Kingston Pike, that put the guy at 4, so he chose to close the First Tennessee location.
CFA tried to run it as a corporate location, but when the new location opened, the management and most of the employees went there. Translation: well-oiled machine replaced with completely new employees.
This new version is operated by Sodexho, the same people that have concessions at Neyland and other venues across the country. Limited menu and no ice cream or milkshakes.
