RIP my dear brother Jody. He passed at 7:30 last Monday morning and I flew to Knoxville at noon. If RV had not been with me I would have crumbled. I never thought I would have to eulogize my own brother. I miss him. He was only 54. A piece of my heart has died.

Thoughts and prayers sir. That has got to be one of the toughest things anyone ever has to go through.
Jody was an avid hiker and loved, as I do, the Smokies. I was a wreck all week and the day of the memorial, my wife (RV) woke me up early and put me in the car. She drove me to Cades Cove, got out and handed me my brothers walking stick (which was my fathers before) and said let's go. We hiked Abrams Falls trail as far as we could before we ran out of time and had to head back. This calmed my nerves and cleared my mind and I felt my brother's spirit. I now had the strength to give a fitting eulogy to honor my brother. Thanks for everyones thought and prayers.
