Rest of Oklahoma schedule

They totally whiffed on their QB analysis. Arnold was awful. Yes our defense was some of it but some of it was he was just bad. We still would have won even if they switched to Hawkins earlier but Arnold probably arlready look for his next school.

Maybe that changes their season, but so far OU hasn't exactly looked great. They struggled against Houston and Tulane. I would say they end up probably 8-4. I do agree the Texas game is always weird.

This was Oklahomas first tough game of the year. They prepped all spring and summer for this game. So much at stake. Heupel’s return, first SEC game, college game day, recruiting.

I also believe that tampering with the field was purposeful as well.

From personnel to game plan, I don’t know if we face a better defense all year with the exception of UGA.

This was a damn good quality win.

Hoping they go 0-8 SEC play I don't want these extensions to ever be taken seriously

I think they'll beat Mizzou. Texas is much better than OU, but it's a rivalry game and you can't predict what happens in those games (see Bama/Auburn last year).

LSU is all offense/no defense again, so that's a toss up. OM and Bama are really bad match ups for them.

I am not that high on Ole Miss. Flashy team but they are not physical. If Oklahoma can get Ole Miss into a physical game, it will get interesting.

They also got plenty of help from the refs.

Doesn’t matter if we take Bama at home. We should win every game left other than Bama and Georgia. Both of those teams are beatable if we’re healthy.

Our strength of schedule may need us to beat 1 of those 2 to be honest. Teams on our schedule aren't doing well.

OM defense is a good unit. And obviously their offense is elite. I just don't see OU matching up well against them unless their offense improves substantially.

People are writing OU off. They have a good defense that might allow them to upset a team. Its just unfortunate they have Mizzou and LSU on the road because I think they would have a pretty good chance at home

Not sure what you mean writing them off. They will more than likely lose to Texas, Alabama and Ole Miss because those teams are better than Oklahoma. They will probably win one of the other 2. That’s the way it is in the SEC. I’m not downgrading Oklahoma.

I've heard people on podcast questioning if they will be bowl eligible this year.

Is the game at Okie or at Tejas? If it’s at Okie on that trash field and it’s a night game, I’m not so sure. Oklahoma has the worst field I’ve seen in years. They should be embarrassed.
It's on a neutral field yearly Oklahoma won last year 34-30

Texas is an annual rivalry game (Red River Rivalry) for Oklahoma. They will be up and ready for that game.
They were up for us and still got dominated. It will be interesting to see if they maintain that level of intensity through the course of a full SEC season. I think they can beat Missouri and LSU this year. And if their defense plays like that against Ole Miss they’ll have a chance there too but could be a really rough first season for them.

Really hard to know what to make of them if they make a permanent change at QB. Arnold Jackson is not the answer obviously. If the freshman QB can be brought along, their offense will be better than last night.
