In my mind quality is being knowledgeable, entertaining/informative, have a working knowledge of radio and preferably some experience working in the field. Not random joe blow off the streets that's never been in the industry before.

What advice would you give to someone who is trying to get into the business?

Be ready to work ridiculous hours for little to no money for awhile.

Network, network, network.

Be able to multitask like a champ.

Be prepared to bring your work home with you.

Have a very strong social media presence.

Those are five things that are good for anyone thinking of getting into this industry to know. There is so much more to this than sitting in front of a microphone and talking about sports for a couple of hours a day.

I have been in the broadcasting/sports media field for several years now.

Jon Reed and Kyle Tasman both UT communications guys.

JayBay is no longer involved in any way. Completely new management from the GM position and myself being the new program director.

Congratulations and best of luck.
