Rich Brooks last season (rumor)

It's a good read. Most people point out that Brooks' overall record is crappy, but they forget that he came in with a program that was in shambles, on probation. And he is a class act, wins with grace.
He doesn't win anything. He's a whiny, geriatric douchebag that the SEC will be fortunate to rid itself of. Having halfass coaches who whine about the people who are kicking their ass is beneath the league's dignity. Good riddance.

I've never seen much class from him. If by "class" you mean "old," then I agree. Otherwise, I don't get it.

As for his great rebuilding job, I would point you towards the similarities in conference success with the last coach you ran out of town for losing.

Rich Brooks' SEC record: 16-40

Bill Curry's SEC record: 14-40

Wow!
I didnt realize they were that mediocre.

Mediocre is not a synonym for lousy. 4-4 is mediocre. 2-6 is lousy. Brooks has had one mediocre season. He has had 4 lousy seasons. By that measure, he is 4 x more lousy than mediocre.

At 3-5, he had two more seasons that were below the mediocre line, as well.

you play 5 absolute joke nonconference games per season and even lousy coaches can look mediocre at a program like kentuky.

What the hell? Lol

Just curious.. how do you win with grace? What does he do after they win? Pray for the other team for sucking so badly by losing to Kentucky?

It irks my delusional UK acquaintances to hear, but the Cat's marvelous bowl streak is the result of:

1) Louisville sucking,
2) replacing the annual game against Indiana with powerhouse 1-AA Eastern,
and
3) the addition of a 12th game against Norfolk St.

I'd be "classy" as hell too if I was getting my butt whooped every year of my program's history in the SEC.

Classy is just another word for humble. Which Brooks is not.

He's going to take an indefinite leave of absence to get himself healthy again. Randy Sanders will be the interim head coach. Joker will remain as the team's Head Joke.:eek:lol:

Does Phillip make a run at Joker's job?

Vandy and Kentucky are about the only 2 SEC schools that would seriously consider Fulmer as HC.

I don't think Kentucky would offer Fulmer the job though. Nothing says mediocrity quite like hiring your rivals coach who resigned because he couldn't get it done.

Well, they did hire Randy Sanders...

Phillips is going to be the next HC, that's already known.

And whoever said they think Phillips is the "second coming" up there, I don't think they do anymore, especially after the end of the UT game.

Bill Curry didn't resign because of his team's poor performance. Alabama was 10-2 his last season at Alabama and went to the Sugar Bowl.

That is partially correct. There was a lot of upset in Bama over his failure to beat Auburn. It earned him a contract renewal he found unacceptable, which caused him to resign.
