I'll take your word for it LOL  I called you ignorant because you're one of the few that are calling for CPF's head....But hey, if you think you could do better then go give it a try.....I'm a disgrace? Coming from you, that's funny!

We fumbled the ball 4 times and Bama recovered it 3 times. Enough said. We turn the ball over way too much in key situations and this isn't the only game.

I know this is obvious but...We can't keep shooting ourselves in the foot and expect to win games.....Riggs gets in that game is our's...Anderson get's in and Riggs hadn't fumbled early in the game and scored a TD, Anderson's TD is just sealing the deal...Oh well, woulda, coulda, shouldas don't matter...Just got to go out and play hard nosed the rest of the year and hope we don't lose any more games

I was looking at utsports.com and i found a quote by rick clausen

the quote:
"We beat ourselves, we beat ourselves tonight. That's all it was. We moved the football well but they were covered good. But you turn the ball over and you're going to lose. We beat ourselves tonight."

rick can be a good leader for our team but....."we moved the ball well"??????? ummmm.....

THEY DID!!! Save the  for yourself if you think they didn't.

Notre Dame is going to take us apart. We got to Croyle when it was 3rd and long and he had to hold the ball but that's it. Weiss is a master of the short game. We won't see that from our D with Quinn passing.

I'm not running people down for not sharing my opinion...just when people say Fulmer needs to get the boot I think its ignorant considering what all he has done for the program since he's been here :devilsmoke:

::cough::  Corey Anderson  ::cough::

You can't really blame Anderson for that. Fundamentally, he did everything right: he had the ball in his outside (right) hand with his index finger on the point, he lowered his shoulder when he took the hit, etc.; Harper just got lucky.

It should never have come down to one play...we had our chances and didn't capitalize. Shame on us for squandering another brilliant defensive effort.

I do believe the defense was a whole 'nother level of Nasty today.

Well I care who we blame... This is absolutely obsurd. Our Offensive line is facing Defensive lines half their size and we can't move. Fulmer quit clapping your damn hands and tell these boys none of them deserve to wear that damn jersey. Then turn around and give Chavis the props he deserves. Give Sanders a gameball right up the Arse sideways and send the little boy on his way.

NOUGH SAID

This is my first post and I can tell you I am not here to flame. I would like to apologize for some of the bama flamers on here.
I would like to say that that was a great game. The UT defense was amazing as I thought they would be. You do have some major issues on offense though and I do think alot comes from the coaches. I mean with 3 losses in the SEC there is no shot at winning the championship so they should be building for next year. I am not saying give up but obviously that offense is not working and I really do not think Ainge is the man. Why not try Cooter anything that might help you stretch the field and take some pressure off that D.
Also a bright spot for UT was the play of the back-up running back, looks like he could have a good future.

well im new to posting here and ive been a huge vols fan for a a long time.. but i was wondering if ANYone notice that on the play were clausen got called for the illegal forward pass, why did old fllet foot just run forward for 4 yards and run out of bounds?? that guy wont run for ANYTHING. i know he;s not a tee martin, or brent schaeffer but come on?? make the field shorter and maybe that run for corey is 4 yard shorter and the fumble takles place past the goal line and we have a win.. but... hell im in tx.. maybe we can end up in the good old Independence bowl at 8-3 or 7-4... closer to my house... since this season is a wash. well.. every yr cant be 10 win season... cut the team some slack.

i am interested to see cooter in a game we already have won or something just for fun. unfortunately we havent scored enough to get to the backup point. this is just one of those years. nothing goes right.

Rick is right you cant make turnovers inside the redzone. He also should point out you can not make penalties in the redzone. Passing tbeyond he line of scrimmage where he had a little running room would have been safer. A 5th year senior would should have known better.

Between Rick and his big mouthed bro the Clausens are both undefeated at UT..... at least an opposing team has never beaten them.

I'm still not completely convinced that he was over the line. It was really close, but in the end it didn't really matter since he threw an incompletion anyway.

Yeah, but it was a loss of down.

He wasn't far over the line, if he was over at all. The replay was pitiful couldn't tell much by it. If you watch a replay of the game, you will see a TE open in the middle of the endzone, rolling in the same direction as RC.

That's my point . . . he threw an incompletion anyway, so we were going to lose the down either way.
