Possibly, if that’s the case she in’s the minority. Kids go where they can play and play early. This new generation comes in better prepared than the old guard of time and waste seasons watching and learning.

Kids with a need to be the greatest go to weaker teams so they can be so. Justine made a decision to come to a team that will be in the NCAA's with or without her. I commend her for not wanting to be a diva

Don’t doubt her choice, doubting the development she’s getting. Not sure about your not wanting to be a diva comment, unless you have a player in mind as an example. Rice seems to adjust at PG for UCLA, Julian Philips seems to adjust for the men’s team.

blah blah blah
Take your plate, and scrape it into the garbage can where it goes

Dang, man, even Darth and Oldie had something positive to say every now and then
Your constant downing dribble is old, tired, and nothing but fodder

oh and have a merry christmas....scrooge

For sure one could find dozens of examples opposite to this thought but I almost feel like the really tall girls might take a little longer to make the jump from HS to college. The taller young ladies seem maybe a little thinner proportionally and need a year to bulk up a bit. Puckett and Pissott seem like this to me. But on the other hand Karo looked college ready last year. She looks great this year. She and Darby and Jordy seriously got after it this past summer.

Majors,,,find a team to support!
you most probably won't be missed here at the team you trash

Again, you take me asking why is Justine not developed at this stage as trashing the team? Believe it was more questioning who’s coaching her in her position. Believe it deserves a look. Believe me questioning about why our AA somehow can’t crack the 2 deep rotation. Asking isn’t trashing. Don’t confuse the two.

She's not in the minority, though. Lauren Betts was the #1 recruit in the country and she averages under 9 min/game. #4 Ayanna Patterson averages ~10 min/game for UConn (which was also inflated due to other injuries on the team). Sania Feagin was top 5 in her class last year and she's still under 10 min/game for SC as a sophomore.

I’d take Justine at 9 mins a game as a sweet spot heading into SEC if we were a Top 10 team.

Why not redshirt her, she’s definitely thinner than those two and if she’s not needed why waste a year? She can do everything she’s doing now and not lose the eligibility

ventured into her social media and caught a glimpse of the blue
Dear Lord. With that I'm off the speculation train. Just get it worked out and do the one thing we all agree on: get a full speed, dialed in RJ on the court.

I want a Lifetime story ending, repeated at the Final Four til even we are sick of it : how Rickea and Kellie worked it out and got it done.

Re Justine: I was just talking to my family member who use to work in LV strength and conditioning and she reiterated it takes 2 full years to even get them "in shape". It's a process. Doesn't mean she can't be worked in to do what she does - shoot 3s - but let's see how her all round game looks next year.

Which goes to why is she lost? Who’s her position coach? What kind of work is she getting in her time allotted, who’s taken her under her wing, what extra time is she giving? She’s been in college for a few months now. End of the day, it’s basketball 10 foot goals, 94 feet, 5 on 5…play ball. Don’t doubt she’ll be a solid player, just time is slipping away in year one while other Top 20 players are able to transition. I’ll say those ahead of her don’t provide a greater chance to win, so mix it up. To me, this is a development by the staff more than a Justine thing.

* recruits are looking at Justine as can I play early under this staff

She is developing before our very eyes. Mercedes Russell had a bit of the same problem in terms of adjusting to speed of play. We will see more of Justine as the season goes and I expect her to make some important contributions during the SEC run.

Coaches aren't magicians so getting Justine up to speed on playing college level defense takes a little time. She is a 6'3 to 6'4 GUARD. She can create mismatches on the offensive end but she is a disadvantaged on the defensive side and needs to learn how compensate when playing laterally quicker players.

MS had a foot injury of some kind?

Disagree. Without RJ, the LVs have 2 or 3 potential scorers, none proven late in games. What kill vols stanford was the inability to hit a shot down the stretch. This is why RJ is SO important, both bc she is a reliable scorer and bc her presence on court makes JH a much more reliable option due to taking pressure off of her (and everyone else).

Not saying her importance and skill makes RJ above the law, or should influence KJH decisions. But there's no point sugarcoating her importance. She's the difference.

About this alleged tik tok - is that the one where she appeared in uni and said 'don't believe everything media says'?. Which was in response to rumors she was leaving. That does not sound like 'I do whatever I want' to me.
Not the same TikTok. It has since been deleted

Not nitpicking the player you selected in Russell but she played all 35 games her freshman year.

So this below is complimentary?

It implies Coach K's recruits are inferior

You are quickly replacing Darth as the most negative poster on this site,,,but then again, you probably like that you are besting at "anything"

want to test it,,,take two weeks off and see if anybody asks about you or misses you

it’s not about Justine, it’s about who’s coaching her. Don’t twist it, stated it a few messages back. So again, your rebuttal is if a question is asked, it’s trashing. Not very “coach” like to resort to negative…which is a soft answer to fall to.

From the start, Karo just showed up with outstanding shoulders. Unsure, if she is a farm girl or what? But, she was indeed an unusually well developed body for a freshman.

I agree that it is more difficult for tall girls to make the leap.

Don’t be soft. But it is an option when you get challenged or have an opposing view.

I won’t take it as badge of honor to watch you tap out because I bring opposing views sometimes. It still won’t change the now in regards to the team. Be well and Merry Christmas, Go Vols!
