The BOY and I mean BOY didn't have it in him to compete for the starting job here and it is not like we got 2 or 3 high school ALL AMERICANS he had to beat out, I would not wont him behind the center, down by 6 with 3 minutes to go, he would CHOKE, good luck at a small school.

This post is dripping with class.

Anyone have any new info on where he will be going to college, not speculations but fact? I have not seen anything saying he has enrolled somewhere else.

E.T.S.U. because there will be little competition for the starting position now while they are just starting their program. Ha! Ha!

I'm not going to say who the relative is out of respect to the individual, but suffice it to say, it wasn't some uncle's third cousin's hair dresser. If he is telling the truth (as it was told to him by Riley), I think it is interesting to consider Riley as the imminent starter (at least at one point). Hubbs said last year the coaches were showing receiving recruits Riley's practice film to give them a taste of who would be throwing to them. Regardless, I hope the best for Riley. I don't think we are in a place to judge him. He is a talented young man, and he already gave a lot more for Tennessee than many of us have.

Hate to see players leave, especially players with the talent and potential as RF has. We don't know the whole story, and yes I know that doesn't stop most from forming their own story and opinion about the young man. Some of you guys need to really think back to when you were an 18-19 year old and remember how immature you were, and some of the bad choices that you made, before you go judging these guys. And then consider being that age, with the kind of expectations and pressure a highly rated UT football player has, in addition to the transition of moving hundreds of miles away from home, and suddenly taking college classes. I would imagine if we could put ourselves in their position our perspective would change a little bit.

Unless you can give your source's name, last 4 of SSN and mother's maiden name, you will get nowhere on VN.

I don't wish the kid to fail wherever he ends up but at the same time I don't really give a crap at this point. He never took a meaningful snap while at UT and is not with the team anymore. Why should we care what small directional school he is playing for?

Upon vacationing with a past walk on player and getting tons of info on Butch and his philosophies AND following the recruiting process of Riley very closely. Here is my take on the situation.

1. Riley is a winner. PERIOD. He chose UT because he was recruited hard by Alabama and Nick Saban, after camp, told him he was his QB. A few days later, he pulled the offer and said they were going with someone else. Riley said he got it but he wanted to go to a team that played Alabama every year so he could play them and beat Saban. (he had ties to UT through his grandfather and chose here). I heard this interview through Riley and Vince Ferrara. GAve me chills to here Riley talk about never losing and he hates to lose more than win.

2. I don't think Riley was the clear cut winner. I think Butch may have insinuated this to keep his hopes up. The past player I am vacationing with states Butch is about continual competition and wanted Riley to step up. He also stated that Riley threw the best ball you'll ever see but his work out habits were like BRay's. (i think that is a no no with Butch and ultimately seperated him from Dobbs and Worley.)

3. I think if Riley realizes to he needs to work on these habits, go Juco, he could find him self at a high D1 program.

4. A few tidbits from the past player: Butch is a players coach. He pushes players to their brink. He (the past player) also said he quit playing college ball because it was like a business and no longer fun. Lost passion. I can see this in today's college football. He personally thinks by year 3 we will get to 9 to 10 wins.

I wish the young man could have lost a game so that everyone on here that annointed him the 2nd coming could understand that untested and unproven does not mean Heisman contender.

I wish the young man would have came into the Florida game and lit it up. Established himself as the future and paved the way for a 10 win season. As long as we are "wishing" let's do it right!

Riley never got on the field for the UTVols and is no longer part of the team. I wish the young man no ill will, just the opposite. BUT I could give a rats axx talking about some inconsequential youngster on this board who is not playing or being recruited to play for UT. If Riley or his family members are posting here, I get it, keep his name associated with a big time program, otherwise he's a no name to me .. some of ya'll need to move on and get a new boyfriend in your head ... he never dated or had anything to do with you ... quit stalking him.

That media bias was a huge part of the problem. Hubbs was talking about Malone. Malone said the coaches equally showed him Dobbs , Worley and RF's film. Instead of listening to the actual facts from the recruit they showed the films to. RF guys kept repeating that they only showed RF so much they convinced other posters that is what happened. It was a lie though. The RF guys took any praise or statement about RF and twisted it to make it seem like he was the next Peyton.

If pretending to not care where he ends up is cool, consider me Miles Davis

I gave a lot to U.T........several thousand dollars and 4 years of my life, in exchange for a degree.

We finally got his jersey number filled. Isaiah McDaniel (5-10 187 DB) on defense, and Will Bradshaw (6-4 220 QB/LS) on offense.
