Apparently it was the 5th game of the first season. 1958. I’d never heard that bit of trivia before. He was a junior at WVU.

I loved watching the NBA as a kid and Jerry West was a star. I remember West, Havlicek, Russell, Chamberlain etc and many other greats. I know it’s prob my nostalgia kicking in but those players from my childhood just seemed to be “bigger than life”.
