Kurt Cobain today too.

AIC was definitely my favorite band of the grunge era.

Do you guys ever wonder what music would be like now if Cobain or Staley were still alive (and no drug addictions)? Do you think they'd still be involved with music?

Oh yea. They'd still be making music.

I don't know if Cobain would. He said several times he didn't want to be like all the others who are playing at 50 years old or older. Talked about the who and some other bands that kept going. He said he couldn't see himself screaming at that age. Plus he hated fame.

I don't think Cobain would. He had some psychological issues and couldn't stand being in the spot light.

As sad as it is to say, if he wouldn't have offed himself, he would've probably OD'd later on.

Rumors back when he killed himself were that he was wanting to break up with the band and was tired of it. I think he might have turned into another Tom Petty.

AIC is easily the best band of that entire era. Nirvana, while ground breaking, is extremely overrated.

Alice In Chains - Rooster - YouTube

He had the most Haunting Vocals I've ever heard. Still my all time favorite Music Video.

Ain't found a way to kill me yet
Eyes burn with stingin' sweat
Seems every path leads me to nowhere
Wife and kids, household pet
Army green was no safe bet
The bullets scream to me from somewhere

The whole Unplugged performance was amazing but this was my favorite. Especially when Layne comes out and the crowd is going crazy. You can see how frail he looks. Chokes me up every time.

true, but if he had lived he was only 27, he still had a ways to go to get to 50. But artists always want to create, maybe not with Nirvana, but I imagine he still would have created music.

Mad Season was a good one. What was the other band he was in? I wanna say Class of 99? It was like a supergroup.
