The CBS college football theme is such a big part of the overall presentation, it makes big games feel bigger and is an indelible part of what makes SEC games memorable...This sucks, I know a lot will disagree, but this sucks.
It’s the best theme in sports . No question about it. It’s a shame that cbs wasn’t willing to do more than 1 prime time game a year. On the plus side, there’s about to be a lot more big time night games in the SEC.
Now that depends on how far back you are going. CBS has had the SEC package since 1996. Sean McDonough and Terry Donahue called 6 of our games for CBS in 1998. This does feel like the end of an era. And basically, a monopoly for ABC/ESPN. I don't really like it.CBS was basically just the Bama and Georgia network we lost pretty much everytime we played a CBS game and Gary laughed at us. I won’t miss it.

Five times, in fact... 1998, 1999, 2004, 2005 and 2006.Maybe if we didn’t suck and those 2 teams weren’t playoff contenders the last how many ever years we would’ve been on there more and they would’ve been on there less. There was once a time when our game with the Gators was the CBS Primetime game.
Which is a good thing...Bama and LSU should have NEVER been a mid afternoon kickoff this year. It’s the best theme in sports . No question about it. Or on the hallmark channel... more appropriate for the love affair he has with Bama and Tebow and so my mom can experience the miserable feeling I have had every sat at 330 in the fall.I will miss the CBS--SEC collaboration.
However, Gary Danielson needs to have a lifetime contract (or life sentence) with the Big 10 Network.
If that doesn't work out, he could always be Tim Tebow's personal assistant.
Gary will be in his 70’s when the CBS contract expires. I’m sure he’ll be just fine going into retirement with all the millions he’s made from CBS.I will miss the CBS--SEC collaboration.
