I think whoever is running Amazon is running it into the ground based on my experiences in the last couple of years. Some people are visionaries and some are bean counters, and in my life the bean counters always killed companies.

Yes, they do. They are constantly envisioning their Big Picture: A fundamental transformation (per Obama) of the USA into a collectivist society with them permanently in charge (a one-party state) of an authoritarian central government. Their society would have no fundamental civil liberties (except abortion) as a matter of right; only by consent of the collective would we have free political speech, the right to defend ourselves, etc. The State would be the "representative" of the collective. They have been steadily working for it for since Woodrow Willson, a full century, and they are so close now they can taste it.

Amazing watching posters deride Musk for Twitter....a SM platform, and then go into the Ukraine thread and get all giddy about Russian losses, without even realizing how much Musk has done to support the Ukraianians and our military tech capabilities. Not to mention EV production.

The same could be said for the people that derided him for those EVs and climate activism but now carry his jock for ā€œfree speechā€ on a social media platform.

Itā€™s funny how many people are unaware of who owns the mines that are producing the raw materials for the EVs.

Just last week for only the 2nd time a SpaceX Falcon Heavy launched this time with a classified U.S. Military payload into orbit.

Uh, so if it occured at the prescribed time that somehow means the riots, legal challenges, underhanded phone calls to georgia election officials, etc weren't disruptive or trying undermine the democratic process? Trump and pence no longer speak because pence certified the election results, which was just doing his job but against trumpetines wishes. You kind of need to face up the fact that the far right's trying to hang the moon at this point. I'm not sure I understand why they feel so threatened that they need to subvert the republic at this particular moment in time.
