Yep. And in order to do that they had to bypass the Fed mandated emissions requirements. It’s almost like the Feds have no working applied knowledge in engine design and fuel efficiency

Not my field don’t honestly know. But the VW engine management software was top notch on fuel efficiency and power until they got caught and then once reprogrammed those same engines lost mpg and horsepower.
