As much as I love UT, if I were a big time recruit and they pulled that on me, I would tell them to get ****ed...

He's a top 50 player and he is being played like a punk. Bama doesn't want him. My guess is he ends up elsewhere.

So far though the kid seems very dumb and has absolutely no one around him with any sense.

Would be surprised if this kid has a college career that sees him reach his potential.

Tennessee has reached out to the family to gauge Jarez interest in coming to Tennessee since there is a numbers crunch with Bama and the whole grey shirt situation

I would be surprised if Parks ever suits up for Bama. He has time to gauge other offers, and I'm sure he will.

Why wouldn't he just pay for semester? I just assume he has a lucrative part time job at a car lot making 6 figures in Tuscaloosa.

If you truly wanted to go somewhere that badly, would you be waiting until signing day to commit when you had months where you could commit and confirm?

It's not like he was committed for months and then got a scholarship pulled from him.

There is no recruiting violation. If you recruit 50 guys for 25 slots, it gets very hard to determine the right amount until the end if bigger targets are on the board. Unless someone was being dishonest to him, I generally don't see the problem in this instance... setting aside the whole NCAA is kind of racket to start with.

I wasn't referring to this instance. More of an overall pattern and 7 or whatever it is straight number one classes. Now they are getting 4 stars to greyshirt. It's obscene.

LSU has let 4 stars go on a regular basis and even grey shirted 4 stars. Now as to 7, well they seem to recruit kids that have an abnormally high percentage of ending up with Dodge Chargers, that I can't deny. :)

If I had a COMMITTABLE offer, no.. Obviously he didn't have one or we wouldn't be talking about it...
