He hasnt mentioned anyone other then Alabama and UGA for Months now.

No doubt...and I just love Farrell's reason for it...he says offer lists don't factor into their decision and Kerbyson is too raw and not strong enough for a 4*...complete BS

Trip Thurman is as raw of an OL prospect as you'll see...but take a look at who he's committed to and BOOM!!!...there's your 4th star

Rivals is an absolute joke this year

:no:Wrong!! Pretty much every year. I use it as a general guide but would never put it above a coaches evaluation from camps and from seeing an athlete play. A lot of people on here will look at these same players as better if they get another star....same players. the star doesn't change anything, but I guess it makes people feel better and they actually put a rivals or scout rating higher than coaches. If they get some def linemen in then we will have filled a lot of needs, just young. A stud tight end or two with some d linemen and we just need experience....will have talent everywhere.

Exactly. Someone sitting in front of a computer doled out all the stars to these players. People put too much stock into them. Granted, you want players who have been noticed and have stood out vs good competition, but stars may not always reflect that. I just want Dooley to fill the positions of need and build some depth.

We have a mouse fart in a whirlwind's chance at Drew. I would pencil in Crowell as a Vol immediately after hell freezes over but shortly before pigs fly.

So, just b/c they updated the 100 & 250 on Rivals, does that mean they re-evaluated & re-ranked everyone? Like, maybe a few of our guys won't crack the Rivals250, but will get 4th stars when they're re-evaluated. Anyone got definitive info on whether all 2011 has been re-ranked?

I believe if I remember correctly LV posted some numbers awhile back that if you go by averages there will be something like 180 more kids to get their 4th stars by the end of Rivals rankings. I believe Rivals updates everything at once but over a weeks time or so. So they do R100 then R250 then others. The others usuallly take awhile. Id say by first of the week they will be updated if not already. I believe there will be 2 more updates, one mid season and one around signing day.
