I don't have time to do the research, but I would love to see the # of states left that are one class, like KY. I'm quite sure you can count them one hand, though I could be wrong. I imagine states like Montana, ND and SD having such small populations probably utilize that system as well.

No other states only have 15 high schools like KY.

:peace2: JK, I have a son who was born in Ft. Thomas when we lived in Cold Spring.

Pretty sure there are multiple Mr. Basketball's in each state for the different classifications.

Illinois went to a four class system from two a few years back for hoops. For Mr. B-ball they only give one award. You have to be a beast to get that award in Illinois. The past few have been really good.

Not in KY. We are one of the few states left that utilize the sweet sixteen tourney for all classes combined. We do have an All "A" tourney for the small schools, but for state title and POY awards its all one class.

I'm with you Hardwood, I kinda like the way we do it in KY. Gives the small schools a chance to show what they've got against the big city schools. By the way, since you're in BG like me, have you had a chance to see Chane Bohanon? I'm anxious to see if he gets any big time offers. He's yet to get an offer from UofL or UK. At this point I can see him ending up at Cincy since they've offered and he's originally from there. Would love to see him stay home at Western, but if K Macs gone then no way they get him.

Yeah, I have seen him a few times. Pretty solid player. He does have an offer on the table from Purdue also. I doubt he gets an offer from UK, but you never know.

TN has a pretty good class coming in... a lot to look forward to this year in basketball. Is it October yet?
