He's name is Calisking...i.e. synonym for tool.

Calipara is a greasy, arrogant, whiney, d-bag of epic proportions. If they had power rankings for greasy D-bags he would totally kick ass. Unfortunately, I guess they don't he's too busy getting OWNED by Bruce Pearl.

I can promise you Calipari gives a rats a$$ about getting owned by Bruce Pearl when he is going to Elite 8's, final 4 and a NCG. and sending players to the NBA. and receiving the honor of being named Naismith College Coach of the Year, for the second time. Yeah, he sucks...

Too true. If the man doesn't dwell on the outcome of NC game last year, I can assure you he doesn't dwell on a couple of regular season games over the last 2 years. His eyes are on the prize - NC in 2010.

You obviously let emotions over rule reason. I have never seen any grease on Cal. Confidence is not arrogance, especially when you back it up. Whiney? Never heard him complain about fouls that were or weren't called in NC game, a 3-pointer being wiped off, etc.

If getting Owned by BP means the Tigers go to E8 or better every year, I assure you Cal, and all Tiger fans, would take being "owned" by the Vols.

I don't disagree with you, but it's really not necessary to fellate Cal on a Vol site

Yes. 2 Sweet 16 trips in 4 years at a school where student-athlete actually means something. He gets more out of less than anyone in the SEC.

This isn't football buddy. It's really not that hard anymore to get 8-10 quality players that are also good students these days. See players like Elliot Williams.

If this power ranking were based on just this year, wouldn't Dixon and Few be in the Top 4? It is obviously based on recent history (i.e. the last 3-4 years). In that time, Stallings has been to as many Sweet 16s as BP, and is doing it with tougher academic restrictions.

As much as I hate to admit it, I find Cal's rankings pretty solid for the most part. You could move Cal down a few spots from a strictly coaching perspective, but he belongs high up if you value recruiting to a school like Memphis as one of the most important criteria. Besides that, move Pearl ahead of Stallings and I'll say they are reasonable. The reason you have to put Pearl a little higher is simply because he took a barely 500 SEC team with the same players to the Sweet 16 the next year. Now he's building on that success and bringing in some top notch players. If he keeps progressing at this rate, he will deserve to be in the Top 3 in the next five years.

stallings is a solid coach, but i cant rank him in front of pearl. call me bias or what not but he looses too many games he has no business loosing.
