They are both still of my 2 fave players. I used to work with Jason Allen's brother yrs ago before Jason was drafted. We worked for a supplier to Mercedes, BMW and Nissan. Once Jason was drafted his brother quit and started a business thanks to Jason helping him out. But i gsve him a Vol Jersey, Football, a kids vol jersey and 2 mini helmet's and he signed them all for me. 3 were for my mancave and the kid jersey and one mini helmet was for my little boy. He personalized both to me and to my son. Thdn I got to meet him and he was a really nice guy, very laid back. Really thought he would have had a more productive NFL career but still hasnt done bad. One of my all time fave players.

We all knew this was going to happen. Bama signed Sims (4*) yesterday and squeaked by us. We have a very respectable 3.5 average star rating (with 24 recruits) but Bama has 3.68 with only with 19 recruits. The other teams with avg. star rankings currently higher than us are OSU, UGA (with a whopping 3.81 avg.!), ND, TAM, UF, Auburn, & S.Car. Also, LSU is tied with us at 3.5 but are in on several 5* and could wind up with the best recruiting class of everybody. Interestingly, Kiffen's class also is at 3.5 but USCw is currently ranked 51st! Finally, Clemson & Michigan are in on some big fish.

We could sign somebody this week and jump past Bama for a short while but, again, it will be short lived. Finishing at around #8 or #7 is terrific and at #5 would be unbelievable. More importantly, CBJ has filled key positions of need.

Didnt know players could sign this early. We will be fine and end up top 7-10. Still have chances with a few 4* star guys in Berry, Hendrix, Blair, Barnett and Mosely I think are 4* one atleast 1u service plus Malone is becoming more and more possible. Not to mention guys like Paulk, Creamer, Brown, Henderson, Wolf and a few othees are 4* on atleast one of the services and with good SR yrs can easily move up. Definitely expect Paulk to do that. We have a top 7-10 class easily and top 5 is possible. Biggest thing is we are slowly filling needs and getting SEC type players.

We'll finish behind Bama in recruiting they will get a couple of five star recruits added to their present class. We'll finish around fifth on Rivals which considering where our program has been an awesome accomplishment by Butch and the coaches.

We won't know real rankings until signing day, but however it turns out, Coach has done an amazing job, considering where this program was.

we couldnt have stayed 1 for long. when its all said and done we will be about 8th.

Hate so see it, but figured it would happen. We will finish in the top 10, which is awesome considering where we've been. What confuses me is this, Why would a top Recruit be willing to go a Bama? Outside of there success the last years, they are so deep in talent. Chances are, that most recruits won't ever start then transfer. Seems like talented recruits would want to go somewhere they have an opportunity to play year 2 at least.

Didn't they have a FR WR stand out in the NC game last season? If you can play, you'll play.

I see your point to a certain extent but it is survival of the fittest...you just need to be pretty damn fit to play at Bama right now.

Butch will elevate UT's talent over the next couple of years. People will look back and realize how bad UT sucked at several positions.

I guess its survival of the fittest, regardless. Just seems like a recruit would want to play sooner than later. thks

I certainly would want to play sooner, but if I was an "elite" player the competition wouldn't bother me.
