Nice! Always good to see former players work their way into the program. Robert was a fine player that gave his all while playing and I’m sure he’ll do the same while coaching.
I did not know he had a 10 yr career in the NFL. With all of the coaching experience he has I hope that he learns from Garner and fills in for him when he retires.
Listening to the VQ podcast, Price and Hubbs mentioned that Heupel liked Jeff Faris as possible TE’s coach but his hire would’ve required getting him up to speed on how we practice and gameplan. After Cut retired, Faris was considering an open analyst position at UT and if he had taken it, very well may have been the obvious hire. Can’t fault him for jumping at an on-field gig under Chip Kelly. Point I got out of it is working as a GA or QC at UT potentially opens future doors and is a good investment of time for aspiring coaches.
Awe thank you so much. That was Boozer. He actually passed a year ago (14 yo). He was a handsome feller. I love that picture of the ole boy. Its up in my room now. I am almost to the point where I am ready for another stubborn ole hound but he was special.
