Yes and we are better than most high schools too. :crazy:Huge indoor batting cages and bullpens, pristine field, renovated stadium, top of the line indoor practice facility (Thompson), weight rooms, etc. Only thing they're missing is a head coach.
Please tell me what it takes to have better facilities? College baseball teams are lucky if the have their own indoor batting cages. You don't know how good UT has it until you see facilities for teams in the MAC, Sun Belt, etc.
Architecturally our field is so-so. We have to have a bunch of indoor facilities because the weather stinks.
Baum, Polk, Oxford, Auburn all have better parks, much better, I've been there. Clemson, Scarolina, Texas and on and on an on.
We haven't spent the nickels on baseball (compared to football) that many other teams have when you look at percentages of $$$ spent.
Just gimme somebody who loves the school, wants the job and has Pearl's flair. W-L, meh.
