Can we increase the $3 million assistant pool to land garner? He has built a fence around atlanta for too long. He only makes $300k a year!

I think Kiffin & Co. offered him 7 figures 3 years ago. Is there any chance he would jump for 1.25 mill? He is most definitely worth it. And it would weaken a key rival.

Lets just take all of UGA's sloppy seconds

If we haven't noticed - UGA has been better than us for a while now. Stealing away one of their coaches who would improve our team and perhaps weaken theirs isn't "sloppy seconds" its upgrading our crappy team! Still it wont happen.

I have always heard Garner carries a briefcase full of happiness while recruiting.

Is this suggestion for NEXT time we are building a staff? Because this staff is complete, with the exception of a WR coach, who we hope will be Tee.

Cant wait for the day we recruit elite athletes again. Fred Weary, Cosey Coleman, Jamal Lewis, Deon Grant. All recruited by Garner who was our TE's coach. Since Garner left Tennessee, our recruiting has not been the same. We have not signed any elite D lineman in a looong time. Thats what Garner brings to the table, IMO.

Part of it was Garner. Part of it was that Ray Goff nuked the UGA program and they were bad for several years which was long enough for in state kids to look elsewhere.

Min 3 million, not max. The cash is there. CBJ will be able to afford whoever he wants.

It has long been reported that his wife is thoroughly unwilling to remove her deeply entrenched heels from the Atlanta area.

If he turned down a 7 figure salary from Kiffin to stay in Atlanta, that is crazy. Atlanta is not that far away.

I thought we might actually make through a entire staff hiring before his name came up.. Oh well.. I was wrong.. He's not coming here. Likes Atlanta way too much..

Martin has a lot of ties in GA. Maybe it's time for a new sheriff in that town.

Say what you want but Garner is a stud in recruiting not such a great coach. But we need the 4s and 5s we have enough 3s to last for years

So now we don't have part of it (Garner) and Kiffin/Dooley have nuked our program.

Ah. Ray Goff. One of UGA's favorite sons.
