and what on earth does Berry have to do with Pryor. QB is the biggest impact position in the game and we're comparing him to our safety.
The point is... you guys are obsessing over this QB who may or may not have come to UT even if Cut stayed.
Frankly, there are bigger issues than stroking this guy's ego when he's not even a Vol.
If you want to make someone feel good, pick someone like Berry who means far more to our program, even if he's not the freakin' QB.
Tee Martin was the QB for our NC; not PM. Defense matters.. ask Al Wilson.
I'm happy with Berry as our superstar for years to come and if this guy is the kind of prima dona who quickly goes on the record every time a coaching change is announced, I mean... really. Put things in perspective, gentlemen.
I could give a crap about where Pryor decides to play. I knew he was never coming here. As for Berry being more valuable than a QB, that's highly debatable. He's got quite a ways to go before he's that good.
but not Duke?
Does he plan on working with the position coach or just the HC? Would a new HC have enough time to be a good QB coach during his first year?
Maybe this guy is over-hyped and he's already lost his perspective.
Eric Berry... better athlete, better mind, better for the program. I'm glad we've already got him on board. Let Pryor do whatever he wants.
If he thinks one man makes a program, so be it. This is the problem with putting too much stock in one higher schooler. Besides we've already got a couple of good QB's (I hope).
Agreed.
A comparion of Berry to a QB, of course, depends on who the QB is. If we still run the G-Gun next year, he could be taking a few snaps himself. Now, I can get excited about that, without carrying who either our new OC is or who the heck Michigan hires, can't you?
I cant believe RR went to Michigan, I really didn't think he would go. He better beat OSU.
Wow. WVU officials really screwed this one up. Apparently all he was asking for was:
WVU governing board supports administration in coach flap
In separate meetings with Athletic Director Ed Pastilong, Chief of Staff Craig Walker and, finally, late Saturday night with newly installed President Mike Garrison, he asked the university to do the following:
Allow at least an additional $100,000 in bonus money for his assistants.
Allow scholarship players to retain possession of textbooks at the end of each term, which meant they could have sold them, as apparently happens at other programs.
Waive a $5 ticket fee for each high-school football coach attending Mountaineer home games, a fee that generates an estimated $5,000 for the university each season.
Hire seven graduate assistants and a new recruiting coordinator, to ease the duties performed by secondary coach Tony Gibson.[/I]
