Ron Zook Coming Back To SEC?

Exactly.

But because he's the last UF coach UT got the better of, he's a bum.

Zook and Miles recruiting together for LSU? Not good for the rest of the SEC.

If I were a head coach and forced to choose between Derek Dooley as an Offensive Coordinator and Ron Zook as a Defensive Coordinator, I wouldn't even hesitate to pick Dooley. Dooley has proven himself as a position coach, but he wasn't cut out for a head job. Zook isn't even a good position coach. His only redeeming quality is that he's a great recruiter.

LSU's ineffectual offense pared with a Ron Zook coached defense = 6th or 7th place in the SEC West.

Ron Zook's recruits laid the foundation for a couple national titles once we found the right head coach.

You go right ahead and hire Dooley, since you're the one who brought him up.

Dooley's so good he's never even been a coordinator. I question whether or not he's even a good position coach. He's bounced around between TE/WR/RB/ST during his career and never really honed in on one for more than a few years at a time.

I'm taking Zook all day, at least he's proven.
