Is it safe to say the NCAA would not have been snooping around if Lane Kiffin did not accumulate so many secondary violations along w/ the hostess issue?

So, am I right or wrong, in laying full blame on Lane F'in Kiffin if our basketball (and football) program gets thrown back into obscurity?

This basketball stuff was before Kififn arrived.

Kif is the devil incarnate. All evil in the world is because of him. Please keep up.

You bring up a valid point. But I'm sure, some how, it can still be blamed on Kiffin.

Can you imagine being the father of the co-ed's he slept with the night he crashed his car. Those slurts discraced the whole family!

This is a problem with a lot of UT fans. We need to move the hell on with our lives. Kiffin is gone. Yes, we all hate him, but continuing to talk about him, especially to look for a reason to blame something on him is stupid. My message to all UT fans: Kiffin is gone, move on. This is 2010, not 1998, so don't be mad if someone tells you they think our football team sucks. Don't bring up the fact that we won in '98. That's irrelevant. Move on.

The problem with you, my friend, is you take too many words to convey a simple message.

That message being that you are of course a Bama fan.

There is nothing wrong with talking about him, he was a coach the same as any of our other coaches were.

I certainly would think it's a simple message to convey, but this thread existing is evidence that more words are needed.

Bama fan? How did you come to that conclusion? Afraid not....no reason to like them, no reason to jump on their bandwagon. I'm a UT student, I cheer for UT, no other college.

Given my profession, root cause analyses are one of my favorite things.....course, as soon as I saw Kiffin's name, I decided to leave it at that.....

Bama fans typically try to convey messages to "All UT Fans", and say obvious things like "Kiffin is gone" and then bring up how the national championship we won was in "1998" oppossed to 2010. It is also common for a Bama fan to be breast fed until the age of 24...

...by their dad. From your post, we can tell you fall into at least 3 of the simple Bama fan criteria.

Well if any of this is true, I had no idea. The people I interact with are fellow UT fans, we don't have time for UA. Sounds like you're very familiar with it though, Bammer.

Ahh, the ole "You know Bammer's so well, that you must be a bammer" arguement...well played sir. Well played.

actually this thread sounds like a bammer one. "If Fulmer hadn't turned us in for cheating we wouldn't have gone on probation..." kind of thing. Completely ignore the fact the program was cheating and look for an escape goat

Certainly not the Tide. Look what it did to their program. They weren't likely to ever win another National Championship after that.

Wow for a brief moment, I just envisioned Fulmer riding on a tiny billy goat up a mountain in the Smokies.....Hate to be that guy, but I think "scapegoat" is what you were looking for. At least it provided a humorous visualization lol.

We typically refer to these as the Smokey Mountains. It's tricky for some to master.

Oh but in my reverie, it was one specific mountain, not the Smokies in general. Plus I thought it sounded better than "up a Smoky mountain". Kinda grammatically awkward.
