"Butch Jones turned down three FBS offers in three weeks because he had a CHANCE to get the TN job. Tell you what he thinks of TN."

I like it, the tweet that is. I don't know enough about Jones yet to make a rational decision either way, but it's time to support the guy regardless. Coach, go get some recruits and go win some ball games. GBO.

I would parlay that bet too when our last coach got a $5Mil buyout for failing.

I like it. It makes no sense not to give the guy a chance at this point. We all need to get on board with the hire and support the Vols.

This crossed my mind too. Who knows, it might be serendipitous. One thing is for sure...he has to have balls to want to meet our angry mob head on. Confidence is a key attribute in a HC. Fingers crossed.

How does anyone think this is a good hire for Tennessee? His system doesn't fit our personnel, he has no experience in the SEC, he has not beaten anyone worth a damn, he is not a good recruiter.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to compare his offer at Colorado to what Strong turned down here.

Watch some of his videos and you will see he is darn ready to meet those doubters head on. He is going to win a lot of people over at the presser!!

You're right. There is no way a guy who has been coaching talent that has been ranked in the 60's and 50's in terms of recruiting rankings and winning 9-10 games can coach a team with recruits that are in the top 20. No way.

Dooley did as well, I'm not buying whatever BS he throws. He has no idea what is about to happen.

Kentucky goes out and hires the D coordinator of the #1 defense in the nation.

We hire Butch Jones, he runs the read option, but he's killer at the podium! BS.

Your free not to watch it then.

DD was a great speaker but jones is going to high energy and overflowing with enthusiasm. DD was far from that

I always love it when people think that because a coach has energy and yells a lot, they're going to be winners.

Im giving the guy a chance. If anything I don't think he will do any worse than Dooley and I think he actually is more of a Vol than the last 2 coaches combined already.

DD was enthusiastic too until he started working and realized he was about to get **** stomped by the rest of the SEC.

You argueing he hast proven to this point he is a winner????

Its certainly fin discuss he won't win but if you are trying to suggest he hasn't been a winner up until this point your stance is foolish!

There is no comparison between the two in their level of enthusiasm. Watch some YouTube and you will see.

It doesn't really matter how a coach carries himself as both approaches can work but my initial point was that some people will begin to won over by jones at the presser.

Winning the presser matters not to me but watch and see if he doesn't gain some approval points after the presser.
