I hate Notre Dame and the story is complete Hollywood bs but it still tears at my heartstrings.

Great movie, but I don't tear up. Now Field of Dreams when Ray realizes the real reason he's supposed to build that field and gets to play catch with his dad one more time, I cry like a schoolgirl. I also cry during the M*A*S*H finale.

Rudy is cool, but a bit overrated, and it IS Notre Dame.

Trivia: I believe the actor who played Rudy's HS friend that tragically dies is from Oak Ridge, TN. My home town.

I am a Michigan fan. Notre Dame can **** themselves. I've never seen nor will I ever see this mythical Rudy character.

I remember seeing it a couple times growing up but I only remember bits and pieces of it.

Now, I watched Any Given Sunday the other day and I love that movie. Al Pacino, Jamie Fox, Cameron Diaz, James Woods... they also have Dr. Cox from Scrubs and Jessie Spano from Saved By The Bell.

It has an outstanding musical score which really makes the movie better. I like the movie, but I don't really tear up, and I've heard stories that the real life Rudy is a jackass.

I just don't see how a film can bring a man to tears...

That said, I've never seen it.

the only movie that has ever made me cry was 1973's Charlotte's Web (when charlotte dies), and I was a small kid when I saw it
