It's a falsified, exaggerated movie of a guy who in real life is a d---. I've seen it a couple times and felt nothing.

When I found out how much they made up it did bring the movie down. Several of the people depicted weren't real, like his groundskeeper boss, one of the captians of the team, and they even made up a brother. The jersey scene never happened, no one was chanting "Rudy", Devine wasn't the jerk they portrayed him to be, they didn't score so Rudy could play, and according to Joe Montana they did carry him off the field but it was more like they were just messing around.

The movie is so clearly out of touch with anything that would happen in real life that it drove me crazy. I probably would have enjoyed it if it was just a fictional story, but it wasn't sold that way.

Really if you think about it, there just aren't many sports related movies that don't come off hokey.

Great movie, but I don't tear up. Now Field of Dreams when Ray realizes the real reason he's supposed to build that field and gets to play catch with his dad one more time, I cry like a schoolgirl. .

Hey.....dad? Wanna have a catch?

Gets me too. Just great.

Single greatest line in any movie. Ever.

Went with my Dad to buy an old neighbor's corvette last night. As we pulled in next to the house I grew up in, we both looked and he said, "God we threw the hell out of some ball in that yard didn't we?"

Gets me teary eyed thinking about it this morning.

"how in the hell did he make it to the Show and I didn't?"

Kind of like listening to people talk about how great Legend of Bagger Vance was while I'm thinking "if Matt Damon can beat Bobby Jones with that swing, I'm Jack Friggin Nicklaus."

What the fudge? Didn't know he was in it.

And yes, I get choked up when the team/fans start chanting his name. Every damn time.

Yeah Vince is the qb, it wasnt a great roll though lol.

It gets me when the team all goes in and lays their Jerseys on the desk, and when they all chant and the groundskeeper guy is watchin him play

The groundskeeper is my favorite character in the movie. Eventhough the movie is entirely exaggerated, I love the groundskeepers' famous speech.

Vaughn was a running back, not QB, and 3rd string at that.

And yes I wouldn't say it was that great of a supporting role since he was in it all of 10 minutes and was basically playing a one-dimensional jackass....who ran like a girl.

Is he the guy that goes off on Rudy for playing like its the Super Bowl?
