Based on what very limited spring yakking claims, I'm ruminating regarding our 2023 offense. It appears this guy, Dont’e Thornton is Hyatt 2.0. Then there's the Albino Chipmunk, who is also a speedster. It appears we will have both the Roadrunner and Speedy Gonzales on our team. Or, if you prefer, Flash and Quicksilver on the same team.

So excited to see the 2023 team in action. Playing at the usual cosmic speed of pssszzzzztttt! Touchdown!!!

Own it, Woody, own it! And why not? The world is gone to heck in a box of Wheaties anyway, might as well laugh at it.

Ooh...much nicer these days. Got mine from a box of chex back in the day. Always lusted after the ones I saw advertised in the last pages of my comic books, but never got mom and pop to spring for those. Did get that BB gun tho!

Those were the days! X-Ray glasses, electric handshake gadget, plastic soldiers, and black chewing gum.

To the point I think Squirrel will be the closest thing to a Hyatt clone. Thornton I think is about the only other guy that can slide into the slot position if Squirrel gets injured. Think Bru, Thornton, Squirrel will be our primary three. If squirrel is injured, Thornton plays slot Keyton works into the starting lineup. Keyton is dang solid as well. I think we’ve got a great problem at wr.

I had to give a like on the Flash/Quicksilver reference alone. That took me back half a century! Now I feel older!

Albino chipmunk ?! Sweet Jesus...

Well, chipmunks are squirrels, you know. Basically what is known as ground squirrels. They can climb trees but usually don't, as they prefer burrows. So Squirrel White, being more of a ground squirrel than a tree climbing one, and me being admittedly cognitively dysfunctional, it had to be Albino Chimpmunk.

I’ll give you credit Woodsman. You’re eccentric, but entertaining.

Thornton is 5 inches taller and 25 lbs heavier than Hyatt. Hardly a 2.0 but I hope he has similar success.

Well, you know, when a newer version of software is introduced, it tends to have more coding syntax and more features than the previous one. So while it is similar, it isn't exactly the same. That's why it's called version 2.0 or whatever.

I just love helping my fellow Vols fans.

With all due respect to Hyatt, and no one will ever duplicate his Alabama game, but DT might be an upgrade. He is physically. Depends on if he can shine when the lights are on.

Not sure anyone ever will duplicate Hyatt's 2022 season.

I, on the other hand, am sure. Records are made to be broken. Just ask Mr. Impossible, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Lew Alcindor) and LeBron James. Time comes around, circumstances and stars aligned just right, and records fall. That being said, I have a sneaky suspicion that either this season or the next, Hyatt's astonishing feat vs. The Red Algae will be either repeated or surpassed. I honestly think we have the QB(s), and such a wealth of WRs, one, maybe two will be consistently open and scoring. I'm even going to stick my neck forty miles out and say why. The Heup and the Javelin will make such effective use of our TEs opponents will become jittery about them. So much, that to cover midfield better, they will end up creating gaps in their backend defense. The result. The WRs practically run wild. We will be witnessing a true orange storm. And then there's this:

I know, I know, I'm that weird guy who always marches to the beat of a different drummer.

I agree this offensive system will keep breaking records for awhile. It’s just getting going.
