Rumblings in South Bend

I'm surprised Kelly is struggling. At least Jabba Weis loaded up on players. ND has talent and depth.

I love watching ND lose though.

Weis got some nice offensive skill guys in his time there but that was about it.

There was a good portion of the fanbase that wasn't behind this hire in the first place. Not surprised at all. CBK will be given time.

ND is reeling right now with the death, of a videographer yesterday...
he was in scissior lift filming practice, and it blew over..killing him

I think that's extreme, to be honest, unless Kelly normally tells the camera crew how to do their jobs or told them that's where they should be.

bammers wanted Gene Stallings fired in '95, some gator fans think urbie is finished because of this year.

Big programs want to win, period.

Funny thing...Stallings was the last coach till Saban that did anything real with that program.

I think Kelly will lose his job because of negligence in this kid's death. Just an awful situation all around. I don't see how he survives this.

Pardon the pun.

I laugh when I see the NBC promos for the game against Tulsa this week. They act like it actually has any relevance.

The AD comments were damage control if there ever was such.

The information given out by the young man before and during the practice is enough.

Gonna be hard to sell that one sir.:hi:

Sad situation all around.

Total spin control

He was from Long Grove, Il which is just down the road from my neighborhood

There were many on this board wanting UT to hire Kelley. Do they still feel that way? Instant gratification? Immaturity? Emotional vs rational thought? All apply here and at ND as well as gatorland.

I wanted Kelley over Kiffin, and yes, I still wish we would have taken Kelley. We'd be in the second year of his rebuild now and ahead of where we are now. Boyd would have fit his system, so our QB would be set more than likely. I think he would be better in the long run than Kiffin, but at least we'd be looking at next year as the 3rd year for a coach and think it's time to start expecting something.

He didn't want the UT job. He was holding out for Notre Dame.

I really wanted Brian Kelly over Kiffin. I'll admit that. I still wish we had made that hire. We might not be in as bad of shape as we are now, and that kid might still be alive.
I'll also share that over Dooley, I wanted Edsall or Whittingham. Jury is still out on that one.
