No personal attack intended at all towards OP. I actually think it's pretty funny that everyone got all worked up and made a joke about goofing off at work.

The OP owing us all cheerleader pics is gonna be hard to argue against. I'll take that to VN court if I have to.

Everyone is in such a hurry to get the "information" out there, stuff just gets blasted up where it doesn't belong. It caused a scare, and it turned out to be nothing. Point of this post, why is this thread still in the football section?

Being able to read would help you solve this horrible problem. When you see the phrase, "this is a rumor", you'll know that it's not being passed off as fact and know there's a chance it might not be accurate.

People read what they want to read. Rumors become truth, even if they're totally made up. If you're complaining about people getting worked up about the negative rumors from another site posted in this thread, which you started, you're pretty naive. In fact, it makes you a rumor-monger and really no better than the trolls that posted it initially. If you can't take the heat when people come at you for posting the information, don't post it. If you haven't figured it out yet, this is a message board and rationality does NOT reign supreme here. Especially when it comes to negative NCAA news.

Post negative rumors at your own peril.

It's like yelling "FIRE" in a movie theater, yet you heard it from someone else.

Which I'm not. I'm simply responding to his post. I'm not painting myself as some type of victim. I chose to pass along information that I found to be interesting from Rivals. I really couldn't care less what you nor anyone else thinks about it.

Anyone ever notice that people get particularly feisty on this message board on a Monday?

Everybody needs to take a deep breath. Those who panicked over nothing will learn (or not) a good lesson about believing anything you hear or read. Those who brought it up will get a decent refresher (or not) on the power of rumor.

Either way, my day is unaffected, and I'm gonna go home and have a beer.

I'm fine with you posting it the way you did, but you have to admit that it opens your eyes about (a minority of) our fanbase. There are so many rabid dogs in here just frothing at the mouth to get all up in the first scrap of rotten meat that gets tossed in the pile.

I have to wonder how some people are able to cope with the minor everyday obstacles they surely face in their jobs without throwing up in trashcans and crapping their pants.
