Rumor Alert: Corso and Fowler out

if they add Holtz I won't watch anymore. Not that I was fond of Corso but he could at least speak English and was kinda funny.

I would love to see the condesending Chris Fowler removed, especially after he showed his true colors with remarks about Tennessee fans and trailer parks. That network is better off with him doing his tennis matches. I would like to see Mark May replace Corso. I think that he is a little biased to Pitt, but typically has good insight.

Corso is the "anitcs" and "gimmick" guy but he's tolerable. Holtz and May just suck. They need to leave it alone if you ask me. If there needs to be a change, my candidate would be SVP.

I thought their line-up was pretty good, overall. I agree with the article's observation that they are taking a risk, having really sold that crew as a brand. I am sure they did some research on why this move makes sense, but on the face of it, just seems odd.

As much as I don't like Corso, Holtz is by far the worst EVER!
I hope Home Depot wises up and realizes what a huge mistake that would be.

no way ESPN would really consider putting Holtz dumbarse on Gameday. that would ruin the show. Hope fowler is out, he's a tool. I wouldn't mind seeing Kirk and Mark May run it.

the article said it was being pushed by HD. Some of their moves in the past few years really make me question whether their research is actually that good.

If Holtz is there, they will have to give out Home Depot towels to those in attendance and buy ShamWows by the gross for his lisp.

Fowler and Corso are like Spurrier. You hate their guts, but you love to hate their guts. I don't know if I'll be able to watch a gameday show where I'm indifferent to the hosts. Oh well.

i don't see how home depot can have that much power over who is on the show. if ESPN had any balls they would call HD's bluff (if this is true) because i'm sure there are several other corporations willing to sponsor gameday, although there are fewer now than years past.

I don't watch it because of the hosts, I want to see college football coverage for the upcoming games. I don't care who hosts so long as it isn't Holtz. You never know, maybe the crew is ready to move on to other broadcasting positions anyway.

if true, i'm kind of dissapointed by this. i always enjoy corso's and herbstreit's chemistry. it's hard to think of gameday without thinking of any of the 3. that being said, i pretty much couldn't care less about fowler leaving. he lost my vote when he referred to our fans as "trailer park trash" a few years back.

My thoughts exactly. I dont like anyone of them but they do put on a good show for the mose part. Holtz is terrible, but I do like Ravech and Mark May.
ESPN chases off everything people like Dan Patirck, Olberman, they removed the sec primetime crew and gave us yankees.

what was the context for Fowler calling vol fans "trailer park trash" ? If this happens, this is beginning of the end for Gameday's excitement.

Herby can only do the Gameday show and fly across country to do the evening primetime game in the same day for so long. I would hate to see Herby leave, but I would understand it. I like the job Rece Davis does for the basketball gameday, although he is a Bama alumn.
