Do these OSU recruits possibly use Facebook or Twitter? That"s where someone, other than me, could find semi-ligit info. If none of the recruits have made this public info via social media than this is probably a joke. JMO. :loco:

My guess if it's true that Ohio State told the recruits not to leak it.

Stoops is a Youngstown boy, would the OSU job be enough to lure him away from Norman? Can't wait until Monday for the melt down on the OKC Sports Animal. The Sports Animal

Rumors have sprung about the parting of Jim Tressel, Ohio State coach. It has been learnt that Jim Tressel will be parting following the Sugar Bowl and would not be serving the Ohio State in 2011.
If true, the parting of Jim Tressel would be a big shock. It should be noted that as of now the rumors of Jim Tressel leaving as coach of Ohio State is emerging from the circles of recruiters.
Ohio State was shaken by the postponement of 5 major players for the starting 5 games of the 2011 season at the start of this week. Meanwhile sources report that recruits have been told that Jim Tressel will not return as coach. It has also been learnt that recruiters have been told to search for alternative choices to replace Jim Tressel.
The rumor about Jim Tressel leaving the position of Ohio State coach is significant and shocking in the world of college football. Additionally amazing is the notion that Jim Tressel would be parting prior to Rich RodriguezRich Rodriguez at Michigan.
Meanwhile the Buckeyes’ choice of someone to replace Jim Tressel can only be guessed. It is being speculated in some circles that Gary PattersonGary Patterson, TCU coach, may possibly replace Jim Tressel.

FWIW

"Earlier this evening an online “reporter” from the ChicagoNow wrote an article that Ohio State Buckeye’s head coach Jim Tressel was stepping down as head coach after the Sugar Bowl. The news caused quite a shack up on the popular social media site twitter.com as his name “Jim Tressel,” went straight to the world wide trending topics list on the micro-blogging site. They reported that Tressel decided to leave at five key players for the buckeyes have been suspended for the first five games in the 2011 season, and reported an outlandish number of supposed violations while Tressel is head coach.

However, Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith, tweeted from his verified twitter.com account that these rumors started by Chicago now are completely false, and even NBC sports are reporting that the rumors of Tressel’s departure is false

“For what it’s worth, we spoke to one potential recruit and he’s heard nothing of what’s being reported, either Tressel stepping down or recruits being told that they are “allowed” to look for other options.”

Even local news sources in Cleveland Ohio are reporting the same thing that this story is completely false, and the reporter of chicagonow that reported on this is only looking for hits to his blog, and he got it, but at the expense of his own credibility."

We were recruiting Jeff Heuerman. Could help there, if this turns out to be true.

Not that I believe it.

No way. All the OSU fans say he wants to retire before they play us though. Something about not wanting to coach past a certain age or something.

I have been very skeptical of this so called "report" ever since it was released. However, they mentioned this same report yesterday on the radio here in Charlotte. It seems this little rumor is starting to grow legs.

Mainly because there is nothing else to talk about right now. There is zero chance that some idiot blogger who has no connections with OSU would have an "inside source" on this that isn't someone he just met on the street.
