Rumor: Mason to Colorado

Guys on 3HL say he's staying at vandy. Say they have a very good source. I'm assuming the source is Mason himself seeing how he randomly calls in to the show when he's riding around town

Given how Vandy typically does, Mason ain't no James Franklin, but he's still performed better that numerous other head coaches that have come and gone through there.

Personally, if I happened to be an AD at another school, I wouldn't rule him out of a coaching search, but I would wait until after the bowl game to see how he does.

It is kind of funny how at the time Bobby Johnson was considered such a great coach for Vandy and now Franklin and Mason have taken Vandy to more bowl games in less time. Though to be fair, Johnson almost made 3 bowls instead of 1 and Tennessee wasn't as bad as now, and you can argue he laid the foundation for Franklin to build on.

Very 'vandyesque' twist to this story. Current CU AD Rick George is also being reported as a finalist for our open AD position.

Vandy will be fine without Derek Mason. The Nashville metro area is growing like crazy, Vandy will be able to get a more better HC.

You should express your frustration with the Vandy fan in a different way. The manner you chose makes you look stupid.
Really, since when do facts make anyone look stupid! I think your post is ignorant ...

When UT beats Vandy four straight, I might start teasing Vandy fans again. But for now, Vandy has a 3 game winning streak over the Vols, and Vandy has become kinda the Georgia Tech of the SEC East. They aren't likely to win the conference (or division), but on a good day they can play with anyone in this division. Say what you want about how the SEC East (minus UGA) has fallen off, but Vandy has definitely stepped up. Credit where credit is due.

Go Vols.

So you basically tell the Vandy fan his/her team/program is no good when they've owned our a$$ over the last few years and I'm ignorant.

I guess you'll do whatever you have to do to make yourself feel better....

What are you dreaming I said? I simply implied that OVERALL, the Vandy series is far in our favor! A little touchy you are as well as demonstrating a real inability to understand basic English! If your point is that over yhe last seven years Vandy has owned us, you are correct; however, that is not nor has it ever been my point! Understand!😂

Mason could pull off the unimaginable, beat Tennessee four straight years. He'll if he did that they should build him a statue and rename the stadium.
Why would he take the Colorado job? Money maybe, I see no other reason.
They should build a statue of Butch. That is what you would call a statue of limitations

Maybe can strive to beat Vandy again someday.
Nah. Clearly doesn’t matter who their coach is, we lose to them badly no matter what. It’s gotten so freaking bad at Tennessee that we’re hoping a 24-37 Vanderbilt coach will leave there so we can have a chance to beat them, which we probably don’t no mater what.
