Stay in LA and play second fiddle to the NBA franchise for a head coach who is on thin ice with the AD at a program under sanctions OR coach in football crazy Auburn where nothing else matters and you just won a national title.

Comparing the track record of the schools, I'd feel a lot more confident about USC winning a national title before Auburn does again.
