Because Mr. Hale Wants to make a splash and bring some serious attention to Shannon and have a big signing day press conference and stuff make people want to attend the press conference, because if people know there won't be any drama and he's gonna sign with Bama nobody will want to go. Imo

Don't believe that reasoning at all. He's such a good kid, and comes from a great family, yet his dad wants him to create a big hoopla on signing day and spurn/embarass grant and bama?

Not a hoopla on signing day, just something to create excitement. His recruitment has been quite since day one that he committed. Bringing excitement to the recruit is part of recruiting. I know it may have looked bad on me but I didn't troll anybody and If Shannon isn't a vol then I won't post anymore. And you guys can dog me all you want

Not sure I follow. So Mr Hale knows Shannon is going to sign with Alabama (since he verbally committed there a long time ago) but he wants some drama at an, as it stands now, unannounced press conference. So he has his son leak bad info to you, a friend and ex-teammate, in the hopes that you might run to VN, and apparently a couple other boards, and drop the whole "Shannon Hale is flipping" bomb? And like magic it works and the thing even gets picked up by some recruiting guys. So they come to Mr. Hale and ask him to comment on it. Now is the time for Mr. Hale (and maybe Shannon) to lay it on thick and drum up some suspense and excitement for this, still unannounced, press conference. And what do they both do? They both categorically deny anything is going on.

I'm still not completely decided about this whole thing but this scenario is about as far fetched as it gets.

Guys its recruiting and we all know anything goes so nothing here would surprise me. And yes BTO I do find it interesting that Bama would offer another PF. And I don't doubt Dooley either. I just think its recruiting and strange things happen in recruiting. I think this: I think based on everything going on its probably 50-50 on Hale. Time will tell. Go Vols!

I doubt you have any info on this, but just throwing that out there.
