It's good in the short term but is it in the long term? He would not be staying unless there was NIL money that could rival what he would get in Europe. It becomes a slippery slope and you wonder how much longer before the NCAA just turns into another professional league and the idea of student/athlete is tossed aside.

You never know what motivations might be in play. Adding a degree and sticking around for a relationship and deferring less than NBA money for a year might be a plan. Could get that lost first half of his FR year back. Wonder what the Vegas odds are? Maybe enough NIL money to cover an insurance policy.
