Running back availability question for both teams.

I like everybody healthy that way there is no excuses. Win or Lose. GO VOLS!

IF (by some freak of nature) we beat GA and Gurley doesn't play, there is no way anyone could use that as an excuse. They are better than us at every position on the field. One player shouldn't derail a team with that much talent.

Don't forget that Keith Marshall was a 5* too.

Saw on GVX247 that Gurley has a high ankle sprain and could miss 2-3 weeks, FWIW.

I'd like to see Gurley out, followed by the rest of the first string offense, and half of the second string. Oh, and while we are at it, about half of Georgia's first string D being out would also help. Under those circumstances I'd say we have a decent chance in this game.

Georgia always seems to have some of the best RB's in the Nation, it's been that way as long as I can remember, even way back to Hershel Walker.

What, and leave their entire Special Team Units in tact? Wishful thinking.:)

One thing comical to me was after Gurley was out with ankle issue. He was hopping up and down just fine with his teammates at end of third quarter.

Because hopping up and down and getting tackled by your ankle or making a cut going full speed are the exact same thing, right?

Marlin v Gurley is an even swap with the way we are running the ball this year. It's the Worley v Murray one that I'm more concerned with.

Neal had a great rushing game against South Alabama, and their rush defense isn't bad at all (I believe ranked in the top 60-70ish). If Neal can have a game like that again, we'll be okay.

That's relative, they haven't exactly played stellar competition.

Hey I have torn my acl and sprained ankles playing ball. And after injury wasn't jumping with teammates. But yeah I understand sport is way worse than celebrating. Well...... unless celebration cause injury ala Malcolm Mitchell. Haha
