I don't want to turn any attention off of this season, but out of curiosity, I was scanning the schedule for 2007. Guys we have a real live shot of running the table in 2007. I know it is 2006 and we have this season to go, but take a real glance at the 2007 schedule and tell me what you'll think.

The good thing about 2007 is that we trade LSU for Mississippi. The bad news is that we win all expense paid trips to Gainesville, Tuscaloosa and Berkley.

you've got that right. UT will not win against Tebow. not hatin', and am not trying to be pessimistic and will be glad to be wrong.

You're doing a great job of being pessimistic without even trying. :p

Come on . . . He's looked really good, but I'm not quite ready to annoint him the next Brett Favre. We've barely seen him throw the ball.

I've been surprised by Tebow; he's not that agile of a runner. He's just big, and he always falls forward. Manning was a pretty good QB, and did he ever beat Fla. If Meach stays we might have a chance next year, but if he goes we'll be kinda thin at WR.

the way tebow runs, he won't HAVE to throw the ball. TN never has been able to defend an option-style offense and our glacier-like evolution to adapt doesn't bode well. recent history (air force) proves that TN has trouble with the option and not-so-recent history (a couple of thumpings from Nebraska a few years ago) shows it as well. it's going to be rough for tennessee.

Tebow Has Proved Nothing But That He Can Run A Little, That's It ! We Should Win In Cal Florida Is The Only Serious Threat That I See! Georgia Could Be, But If We Squeak By Those 2 Then It Should Be Smooth Sailing !

Im not that impressed with teebo either. Chavis will work out a way to defend him. I look at the Cal game as the most serious threat on the road in 07.

Will he work it out as he did against AF?

Cal the most serious road threat? Give me a break.

I wouldn't worry about that, we play better as the underdogs. :dance2::dance2::dance2:

Running the table will be tough after we lose our top 3 receivers. I really think Meachem will leave if he continues at this rate. We'll also lose Sears, Ligon, and Frogg from an already weak offensive line. The secondary will lose Wade and Stewart, who have been solid. Wilhoit will be gone. Turk McBride is our best remaining D-lineman, and he will be gone. That's a lot to overcome.

Hopefully, our running backs and O-line will continue to improve. Also, Trooper Taylor needs to stick around to help our young WRs. Chavis will make sure the defense is at least decent. I'm concerned about finding a replacement for Wilhoit, though. Still, there are a lot of uncertainties to be predicting an undefeated season next year.

When you look at all of the other players that should be ready to step up and fill those positions, it doesn't seem all that bad.

I'm most worried about OL, DT, and kicker.
DT- is a little thin but i think we will be alright.we will have bolden and mapu plus some others, and maybe marvin austin or barksdale

OL- a little worried here. some depth but very young..Ramone Johnson, Jacques McClendon, Michael Frogg, Anthony Parker, Eric Young, and probably forgetting somebody.

Oh and dont forget about Darris Sawtelle. He is a friggin beast. Was a 5* recruit until he commited to us early and didnt go to any combines. Varsity Athletes USA

Kicker-eh no f'n clue

2006 had a far better chance of this than 2007.

I can't wait until Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Georgia play Florida, which BTW is Florida's next four games. You can bet when Tebow is in the Gator backfield versus those defensive teams. they will bring some heavy justice to the rookie every time he tries to run, something Chavis was unable or unwilling to do. I would if I were a DC have a 240-250 pound LB in a bad humor blitz him on ever snap whether he had the ball or not and welcome him to the SEC!!

UT usually doesnt lose games because of kickers. UT usually falls back to the fundamentals like negative yds rushing or dropped passes to get it done.
