I agree with the OP - Valentine dictated the outcome of this game as much as Wall or Cousins or Coach Cal.

Kentucky will not win the national championship!

Do they cheat like this in the NCAA tournament? If so then UK fans should make reservations for Indianapolis.

MSU blew it in regulation at the free throw line. You can't argue with it. They should've never let it go to OT, they knew what happened in Starksville. They have noone to blame but themselves.

If MSU hits their free throws it's over anyway...but man Varnado did get absolutely tackled to the ground. It's a disgrace really.

Also, why was there no technical after Cousins sent it to OT? The UK players went nuts and started celebrating as if the game was over.

no they didn't hit free throws so we have to ignore game changing calls

I have zero pitty for Varnado. Go back and watch the SECT final from last year. Varnado should've fouled out in the first half.

But yeah did anyone else notice how Wall traveled 2 possesions in a row in OT and it didn't get called. Must be nice.

Everyone knows Kentucky gets the calls, MSU knew they got jobbed in OT when they met in Starksville. They could've prevented going to OT by hitting their free throws but they didn't. They blew the game, period. Kentucky gets calls, nothing new.

The refs did not beat UT. But they damned sure screwed MSU. And to say otherwise is foolish.

Us losing our head did and UK just out manned us. But the officials really screwed MSU today. Our league sucks but our refs are even worse.

Big difference between excuses and reasons. States jobbing by the officials today are reasons, not excuses for the end result of the game. But, that's always a good way to try to marginalize folks. Just doesn't always work.

I found it funny how long it took the clock to start...if you get the front in going then you wouldn't have to worry about the back in...

I really wanted MSU to win...
