which is what they should do. Who cares? If the system works as purported, but can't protect itself from missile strikes, I'm not sure what to think of the idiots deploying it.

It will take conventional strikes to hurt these dudes, but they'll be littered with Patriot or similar A2G support.

It's all posturing anyway...there are about 8 missiles in Poland. What are we going to do?....knock out a few of theirs for the heck of it when they're on there way here? Target them...fine. I hope they put their 2 or 3 missiles that could actually get to Poland without flaming out on the Polish MD missiles, or else all this posturing would be for nothing.

On that note...I would like to know how much Russia has tried to touch up their silos and subs...or if they've continued to go into the crapper.

We should put a early warning radar installation in the area....they would think twice about jamming them then.

With oil at its current price and their markets being hit worse than ours....I can't imagine their rattling that saber to loudly at the moment....though oil will go back up...and they know that.

the USSR will start making lots of noise due to their economy going into the tank. They are going to try and cut and control as much of the energy supply as they can. If the price of Oil keeps dropping the three big idiots will do whatever they can do bring it back up. Believe me in that no one was surprised by this, except the three big idiots.

I'm guessing your choice of the phrase USSR was on purpose?

It seemed to me like they were making more noise before the price of oil fell (e.g., Georgia). I completely agree that much of the bite behind their bark comes from their oil and energy supplies. And...it would seem that they could certainly say the right things to drive that price back up. The argument that they'll make even more noise when the price is down just to bring it back up is not something that I was factoring into my thinking. Interesting point...
