Cutting spending alone does not accomplish anything except hurting our defense. Just like throwing $$ at it does nothing but waste money.

I think we can cut defense spending if the Pentagon incorporated a smarter way in spending defense dollars.

So saying we dont need to spend more is an acknowledgment that we need to cut spending? I think we need to reevaluate some of the programs that we are pumping money into and we also need to get back to better competitive solicitating and get away form the huge multi-year sole source contracting methods. Im not really saying we necessarily need to spend less, Im saying that we need to spend smarter. Whether or not I want spending cut, its going down anyway from everything I have been told, at least on the Army side.
