They look like trash...and I'm not old. The chrome numbers and helmets just look cheap.

I'm okay with everything other than the helmets. I could imagine trying to catch a pass, and then being blinded by the reflection off the DBs helmet.

What I don't get is why they aren't wearing any pads. IMO, that makes all the difference on how sharp they look on game day. Plus, they continually parade either models or players with model-like builds so they can maximize the look of the close-fitting unis, but, unfortunately, over half of the players on the field at any given time look ridiculous in close-fitting uniforms.

they're white/black/red and pretty plain. Don't see how they are exciting at all

Didn't they play in the first college football game IIRC? So they'd have more tradition than anyone

Yes, Princeton at Rutgers 1869 was the first game of college football in history. And they've had nearly a century and a half of winning approximately jack squat since.
