I’ll probably get roasted for this…but IMO walk ons don’t need to announce they’re in the transfer portal and backups don’t need to announce they’re returning for their senior year…

Just like you don't need to post your opinion when a former player posts he is leaving and thanks the staff! Announcing something and thanking the staff and others is their choice as a player, not yours. Just because they aren't a stud on the field doesn't mean they don't matter in life!!!

Just working from the picture in the OP, he is apparently a QB who saw action in a game at some point. It is a little strange that I've never heard of him, and don't remember seeing him taking snaps.

I'm sure he was a good scout team QB that was helpful in practices. If he wasn't a decent player and a good kid, he wouldn't be on the team. Best of luck to him finding a new school where he can get playing time.

Guy was a lifelong Tennessee fan. Decided to go walk on for the Vols and get developed in Heupel’s system early on. Made some lifelong memories running through the T and playing on one of the best teams in a long long time. Now he’ll go on to play a few years at a mid major or small school. Pretty damn smart if you ask me.

Yeah and that’s why I put the emoji. I don’t think anyone is trying to be disrespectful, VN is just a salty crew. Kid could’ve went to play on scholarship at a mid major or something like that but he went to play for the place he loved. Can always say he was on the first Vol team to make it to the playoffs.
