Meyer is also pulling in a lot to work with.

I don't understand why. How would you feel if you were a 5* RB blocking for a QB on 3rd & goal from the 2?

What about a 5* WR relegated to catching left handed passes that are just tossed up in the air?

What a waste of talent that Florida system has become!

UM leaves a lot more room for criticism that does CPF! Once he rides Utah-based honeymoon out and shows how little he knows about how to use and develop talent to an NFL level, FSU and Miami will return. I'd like to say we'd get those FL boys, but heck, I don't have that much Kool-Aid.

9/11 has special significance with Alabama (Bear Bryant's birthday). So it is obvious that he was just using it as a frame of reference for the Bama fithful to relate to.

I didnt know that was Bear's B-Day? And Ill bet Saban didnt either :)

Saw this on local news. His quote was "Pearl Harbor got us ready for WW 2 or what ever."

As referred to in the EDSBS comments:

This line by Saban is ridiculous. It sounds like Miss Teen South Carolina with the Iraq and the 9/11 and such and the Pearl Harbor and whatever...

Listen to the whole section of the press conference and it's surreal. Then he starts jumping some reporter. Horrible performance by Saban.

He starts suggesting people don't want him to do it the right way but he's going to anyway. Who ever said they don't want it done the right way? He trashed his players, fans and the media in a couple paragraphs.

This just in: Nick Saban has decided to invade Mississippi since they are very close to the cause of his 9/11. At this time, there is no direct link to Miss. and LA-Monroe but the State Senate will vote on the measure later today.

Saban went on to say "We believe the footballs ULM used in the game were manufactured in Miss. We are very concerned that Auburn is trying to get their hands on this technology and use it against the Crimson Tide."

"Not finishing plays. Not finishing games. Not finishing the season," Saban said. "You get humiliated, and that's basically what happened."

Way to coach em' up and motivate em' Nick! I bet the commitment phone is ringing off the hook. :good!:

Saban went on to compare the media's criticism of John Parker Wilson to the Kennedy assassination.

He later compared Tyrone Prothro's injury struggles to FDR's battle with polio.

When asked about rumors that Tommy Tuberville may be considering leaving Auburn for Texas A&M, Saban said Tuberville had a tough decision in front of him, much like the difficult decision the courts had to make with Terry Schiavo's feeding tube.

Did you notice in the video he had some $$$ in his hand. What was that all about? Did he think he was on a recruiting visit?

I have never started a thread but heard sabans outrageous statements yesterday on ESPN. Kept waiting for one of you other folks to light him up.

Regardless of your opinion of CPF, Saban made me very glad to have CPF in Knoxville, and Saban no where close.

I think an appropriate T Shirt/banner next year would be a Japanese Zero with a Vols helmet and Eric Berrys #14 on it with the caption "Vol nation sends its Berry Best to
Nucklehead Nick!"

Oh yeah do you think Nick will apply for Michigan job or Professor of History at bama. I suppose he could work in a drug rehab program, since he knows nothing about that either. After Auburn game he might check himself into the Betty Ford clinic.
