Was reading the story on al.com and the funniest thing was reading the comments and seeing Bama fans calling Auburn fans Mullets. Gosh, have you ever been to Tuscaloosa?

LOL!!!!!

The media doesn't waste time reporting this because it's just not a big deal. Period. Nothing will come of any of these meaningless "violations."

* A player, believed to be Marcell Dareus, "received impermissible transportation, entertainment, means and lodging during 2 trips," and had to repay the value of benefits to charity and sit out 20 percent of the season. Dareus took two trips to Miami last summer and sat out two games.

* An unidentified football player was withheld from competition for selling complimentary admissions, and had to repay the amount of the benefit to charity.

* A football player who was not enrolled at UA "received impermissible storage of items for one semester and stayed at a dorm room at no cost." The athlete had to pay restitution and the coaching staff was ordered to undergo rules education.
The football program was also twice cited for publicizing on-campus visits by prospects.

Doesn't seem like to big of a deal to me.

Good luck with your thread buddy. Yesterday, I started one simular to this and the truth is most people don't care about secondary violations unless it's Tennessee of course.

Thanks, pal. I didn't see your thread. If I had I wouldn't have wasted my time making this one.

I have a question about secondary violations. Can you just accumulate them and the NCAA just goes you guys better stop it? Do they ever start to matter?

That's because deep down tennessee has always wanted the best for all things Bama. It's been known for years that orange nation has shared a "kindred spirit," based on admiration and deep respect for the flagship university in the SEC. To think on such unpleasantness as nzaa violations, I think it goes without saying, that our pain is your pain.

Of course it would also be just as fair to suggest that when we win, you win. We just keep the trophies.

Yet, you're the one trolling a Tennessee site. Low tide huh? P.S. Tell your sister I said hello. She'll know what you mean.

If, by best, you mean a tornado, you're on the money.

Why?

No school, other than the one where the HC made sure it was known, gets any kind of coverage on secondary violations.

Kiffin wanted the coverage, so he got it.

Yep. Kiffin asked for it. We all know about Bama.... GBO!!!

Or you just claim/make up trophies to brag about.

Nothing funnier than a bunch of people losing their lives.

You need to read post 37 again or have a UT fan read it to you. BIG PAPA was only wishing Alabama the best with the storm damage. He was repling to the other Bama fans post. Have a good life.

If that's what he meant then I'll let him confirm that. However:

If, by best, you mean a tornado, you're on the money.

That reads like "If by 'wishing you the best' you mean 'wishing a tornado upon you.'" It doesn't read like "If by 'wishing you the best' you mean only during deadly natural disasters."

Again, if papa wants to take the time to clarify, then I'm fine with that. But your interpretation doesn't fit with the sentence structure.
