Saban finally got outcoached by...I'm not gonna say it

I can't believe that OSU ran all over bama. That's the main reason they won.

So because Saban does it too it makes it excusable?

No, it makes him and Butch both idiots in the given situation.

Bowlinggreenvol could have done much better in either situation; you are quite the legend in your own mind. I bet you play men's slow pitch softball

Do you have problem picking up context clues when reading? I don't recall comparing myself to Butch or Saban. But, I'm sure you'd praise Butch for allowing the clock to run out on the 1 yard line down by 1 in the national championship with a TO in his pocket. He can literally do no wrong in your eyes.

He does plenty wrong like everyone else on the planet. You just choose to point out the mistakes on a consistent basis and then pretend to be objective. Now, go lace up your Spot Bilts and wear plenty of muscle rub.

I think Dooley would have outcoached Saban last night. Anytime you have Kiffin on your staff you are taking that chance.

im no kiffin fan but they did score 35 points that should be good enough to win the game

True but him abandoning the run a putting the ball a Qbs hands who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn resulting 14 PTs off two ints cost him the game.

It looked like OSU know what bama was going to run, is Kiff that easy to read.

Yes......... I honestly was feeling quite comfortable with a match up between a Kiffin offense and the Oregon defense.

Plus, Bama's defense gives up a lot of big plays.

I'm not saying they aren't a very very good football team, just saying I was more comfortable with that match up. Probably because I'd been paying much more attention to Bama during the season than I was OSU, as I really didn't expect OSU to be in the playoffs

The people blaming kiffin for this loss or saying he was figured out seem to just be people who just don't like kiffin. Fact is, if you score 35 points, you should win 90% of football games.

Kirby Smart is the one to put blame on here, not Tosh.05

What's your problem with Butch?

I have no problem with Butch. Making a mental error in a clock situation and someone pointing it out doesn't mean they hate Butch. BTW, I never pointed out any mistakes. Simply said that just because Saban makes them too doesn't make it excusable. It's still a mistake.

My problem though is with folks who defend his every move and crucify those who express a dissenting opinion. Butch is the coach of UT therefore I want him to do well because I want UT to do well. I don't want UT to do well simply because I want Butch to do well. There's a difference.

I don't care about coaches; they come, they go, they win, they lose, they'll be immortalized, they'll be forgotten. UT was, is and will always be bigger than a coach. Like I've said before, if Butch succeds then I'll be happy because that means we're winning sooner rather than later. Doesn't mean i won't express frustration or criticism at times; thats what fans do, that's what humans do.

Dude every time another coach is discussed you bring up Butch. You said in the Harbaugh thread that Butch owes his success to following a championship level coach in Kelly. No matter the thread you find a way to dog Butch.

It's fine that you find some faults in CBJ, I do to but come on enough is enough.

You've misconstrued my position, which is not unexpected. I said Butch hasn't built a program up that was down. He twice followed a coach who had great success and moved up; not a coach who was fired and left a mess. That's a fact and it's not dogging him.

He entered the most difficult coaching situation of his 6 year head coaching career when he took this job. If he builds it up, then we'll know he's capable of doing it. I don't doubt he can, I just know he hasn't proven it prior to coming here. Not because he couldn't, but because he didn't have to. If you can prove he's built up down programs then I'm all ears.

It's not the first time. That country ass at Auburn did and the hotty toddy coach. The mad hatter has as well.

This has shown a few times against Bama - the massive D line and linebacker model that Saban uses is susceptible to run speed around the edges. Obviously spread teams have been able to exploit the Bama size.

big reason why saban went nuts about spread teams using no huddle. he can'tdefend it obviously. hint to all sec teams.
