Saban lands UA back on SI cover

It's funny, he hasn't even coached his first Alabama game, but already there is no where to go but down...

They put Jon Gruden on the cover of SI before his first game in Tampa. The Bucs went on to win the Super Bowl that year.

I'm willing to bet a substantial amount of cash that Alabama will not win a championship this season (SEC or NC).

After reading some of his recruiting tactics i would love nothing more than to see another 41-14 this year and the SI cover for that.

Putting Bama/Saban on the cover of SI is like waxing your car with sandpaper.

But they'll be in contention pretty soon. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if he (Saban) contributed to Phillippoptamus's dismissal come December.

No way. While he has proven himself to a certain extent, he has also been annointed a little too heavily considering his record. Let's see where he is at in three years. Alabama will NEVER dominate the SEC again like some of their big time, delusional supporters think they can. I don't see BAMA EVEN dominating the West. EVER. The one thing Saban has to be extra careful about is booster interference in the program. It is still a problem down there. Not even a control freak like Saban will be able to harness the idiotical alumni. And IMHO, he still has much to prove as a head coach.

Wow, Congrats. Maybe next time you grace the cover, it´ll be titled

Alabama´s Shame

And the next time your football team graces the cover it will be titled "Hell Has Frozen!"

You could consider that last year's issue had they made it, they beat Clemson in a bowl game. I haven't known UK to win a bowl game since I have been watching college football. Of course, I don't pay a lot of attention to them either.

Last bowl win had been ´84.

Just tweaking your chin, AL. It´s all good. I was referring back to a time when UK was on SI´s cover in 1989, when the title was Kentucky´s Shame.
