Saban retirement soon

^^^This. I’ve been telling Bama fans, and they know it’s coming, that after Saban, Bama will cycle down. How far down remains to be seen. It will be very difficult for the next guy to do what Saban has done in college football. Hopefully that means 20 straight wins for the Vols over Bama.
Bring back the Mikes!

I bet Saban retires within the next 12 months. I think in some measure he has lost interest in coaching the game. His baby is the defense and they look horrible this year. Is this not the most undisciplined team he’s had in his life? What say you?

But is his defense really that bad or is UTs offense just that good? I mean bama has only given up 0,19,7,3,26 and 20 points the 6 previous games. And then UT drops 52 on them. Maybe not as good as previous years but UT did pretty much whatever they wanted to. And the O line held there best defensive player to 3 tackles and .5 sacks. Running QBs always give his defense fits and Hooker is one of the best he has faced. And the UT play calling for the most part had receivers running wide open because of motion and misdirection. I think he got out coached because bama has players.

Our offense is that good. People are just waking up to it. You have a great offense by design and the team is executing it at a high level.

I just hope that every team they face curb stomp them into a mud hole for the next 20 years. Make them the new Vandy.

I saw an interview yesterday where he said he still enjoys the grind. I don't think he is going anywhere soon.

He hasn't lost interest. He's lost his business model in that essentially paying players is above the table now through NIL. That explains his rant about Jimbo this summer. He'll retire soon though as a result. Glad we beat him, finally, while he was at Bama

Jahmyr Gibbs has been excellent he's another Alvin Kamara.
Gibbs would be a change of pace back on some of Bamas older teams. Now he's their primary back. I think Gibbs will be a great pro player and we did a decent job keeping him bottled up outside of one long TD run

Correct, living in AL I get more AL news that I prefer but he has said in interviews that he doesn't know what he would do not coaching FB and his wife has said she doesn't want him hanging around the house with nothing to do. He would be insufferable. So he ain't quitting and AL's not firing him unless its for health reasons. And he has no interest in the NFL.

No matter how good you are at your profession father time will catch you.
Young guns come along with new ideas and concepts you can't accept.
You become cantankerous, stubborn.
Ya get one life, enjoy retirement and the fruits of your labor before the grim reaper knocks on your door.

Saban strikes me as one of those people who would be miserable in retirement. He lives for coaching football and doesnt know how to do anything else. Although he’d be an incredible color commentator

I have had some good discussions with AL fans about who would replace Saban. Who wants to follow such a legend. The bar is set so high there now no one can match that. No high profile coach in his right mind is going to follow him there.

Doubt it. He just signed an extension through 2030 while making 13 mill by the time his contract is up. He's not retiring anytime soon.

He has no reason to retire. They most likely win out and play for the SECC…he’s the best in the business

Honestly I have been thinking that he is not looking well. Additionally, from his his TV appearances he does not seem to be enjoying coaching as he was in the past, his teams are lacking discipline and the fire of the past.
