From his Monday presser:
--Saban sees real improvement from Tennessee in recent weeks.
--Tennessee's tackles are very good players. They're very effective on the offensive line and they run for more than 200 yards with few sacks. That's all signs of a good offensive line.
-- Saban notes the lack of penalties for Tennessee. The Vols lead the SEC in that category.
-- Wins like Tennessee's over South Carolina are huge with new coaches and new programs, Saban said.

Doesn't sound too worried...yet

Saban isn't concerned with Tennessee. Saban believes if his team executes properly he can beat any team in the country.

Every interview by Saban: "If we execute this or that"

This is all coach speak. What was he supposed to say, what he actually thought?
" I think we're going to beat the ever living dog **** out of Tennessee this weekend."
Spurrier is the only coach that has the cojones to say what's on his mind. Even then it's usually pretty subtle.

Blah blah blah... i just want to see his face turn as beet red as his shirt when we level McCarron a few times...

... Or North pick a few peanuts off of John Fulton's head.

At least those quotes aren't lies like last year. All of them are absolute facts. People wanna bring up the Dooley bs and say its coach speak, well it was when Dooley was here.

Your team would be the first to do so. No team during his tenure has "leveled him a few times".

Good luck with that.

Alabama will be a huge test and as coach Jones would say a great opportunity for our team. Hostile atmosphere down there and a very good football team. We need to not turn the ball over at all, and try to run it effectively to burn clock.

Keep it as close as possible till the 4th.....

That's one thing I have always liked about Saban he has always been a respectful coach.

Agree with this. Yeah he's the enemy this week, but I appreciate his objectivity.

Besides, I still don't consider him a Bama guy. Just hired to do a job and given $ and resources rivaling the US defense budget to bring them another championship.

He won't retire from Bama IMO.

You don't get to be in Saban's position by overlooking opponents, however much overmatch their personnel. He is probably preparing for Tennessee with the same zeal that he would Oregon or FSU. It's hard to sneak up on a Saban coached team.
