Sad Day in Nascar

there are probably zoning ordnances to be considered for putting lights around a track. There are also cost considerations. The only tracks that need lights are those that have night races.

Life would be so much sweeter if they had not re-started the race.Sure worked out for Gordon and Johnson like usual.
I could care less about Johnson but 24 doesn't need anyone's help to win........

I think if you want to have a race at your venue you should be required to furnish it with lights. I really would like to see more Saturday night races, plus if it rains you have Sunday to try again.

Um...OK. Fact is Gordon and JJ would not be the points leaders with out the re-start. That's all I was saying. They do seem to have better luck at least so far.
I've said all along the 24 and 48 are the most consistant cars and the chase will come down to those two because of that.
So,I agree with you pretty much.

Even though NASCAR was cleaning the track after the rain and it was clearing up, I wasn't sure they would restart and Smoke would get the win. However, NASCAR does say the field is frozen when the white flag (one lap)flies along with the yellow and the pace car pulls in front of the race leader and that car is declared the "so called" race winner regardless of what happens. I was shocked to see Greg pull off to the side and Clint and Jimmie pass him. What an idiot Greg was. I wouldn't be surprised that his car wouldn't start even though he said he had gas and NASCAR told him he didn't need to restart his car.
I say it was DUMB!
I didn't watch the race, so I'm not sure exactly what happened, but my understanding has always been that even though the field is frozen, the drivers still have to maintain their position and keep pace with the pace car. Didn't Robby Gordon lose a busch race earlier when he was spun out during caution?

The Gordon call was one of the worst in Nascar history.
If that was a good call, any car in second place under caution can spin out the leader and send him to the back.
The correct ruling involving Biffle was that he maintained a "reasonable speed" according to the judgement of the scoring tower. Biffle did that and he won the race. For once,Nascar made the right call.
